Decorative Cord
Card stock to match doily colour
Embellishments of choice

How to:
These cones are not only very pretty, but really easy to make! Each cone shown above consists of 2 heart
shaped doilies. One red and one white. They are perfect for both Valentine's Day and Christmas!

Cone #1 Instructions:

Glue doilies onto a matching colour of card stock at the corner of your sheet of card stock, as shown in the
diagram below [Glue one red doily to red card stock and one white doily to white card stock]. Referring to the
diagram below, cut  around your red heart shape, keeping as close to the edge of the doily as possible,
without cutting any of the doily. Repeat for white doily.

You now have two shapes the same. Glue these two shapes together with the red on top of the white,
extending the white above the red. Refer to the photo.

Fold along one edge of joined pieces [indicated in blue below]. Roll your folded edge to the opposite edge
[forming a cone shape] and glue in place at the fold mark.

Cut a piece of decorative cording or trim and glue to the inside of the cone sides [refer to photo]. This cone is
embellished with a heart shaped button and small stamens, simply attached with glue.

Cone #2 Instructions:

Glue one white doily to the corner of your sheet of white card stock, as shown in the diagram below.
Referring to the diagram below, cut around your heart shape, keeping as close to the edge of the doily as
possible, without cutting any of the doily. Turn your sheet over and glue a red doily to the back, extending
the red doily over the white doily top [refer to photo].

Fold along one edge of joined pieces [indicated in blue below]. Roll your folded edge to the opposite edge
[forming a cone shape] and glue in place.

Cut a piece of decorative cording or trim and glue to the inside of the cone sides [refer to photo]. This cone is
embellished with  2 gold doily  flower cut outs, glued to the front, a white ribbon rose and pearl strands, all
attached with glue.
